The Patricia Rincon Dance Collective is holding an Audition/Workshop for both contracted paid and apprentice, male and female contemporary dancers for its 2012-2013 Season.

Date: SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2012

Time: 12:00-3:00 PM

Location: UCSD MOLLY AND ARTHUR WAGNER DANCE BUILDING, Dance Studio 3

Artistic Director Patricia Rincon is looking for mature professional artists with a diverse dance background, strong in contemporary dance, improvisation and dance theatre to perform for PRDC’s 2012-2013 season.

Email a short narrative about your artistic pursuits, a resume and supporting materials (i.e. photos, links to videos) to Patricia Rincon at princon[at]pacbell[dot]net. Interested dancers should become familiar with the company and the type of work produced by visiting the PRDC website http://rincondance.org.

Artist information deadline has been extended.  Send your information be email to princon[at]pacbell[dot]net by 11:00 AM on Sunday, February 12, 2012 or bring it in person to the audition.

Rehearsals begin immediately. Rehearsals are held at the UCSD Molly and Arthur Wagner Dance Building. Rehearsals are typically on Tuesday/Thursday evenings, Friday afternoons and on Sundays.

Directions from San Diego:
Take Interstate 5 north to the La Jolla Village Drive exit. Turn left (west) onto La Jolla Village Drive. At approximately one mile, turn right (north) onto Revelle College Drive. The UCSD Theatre District/La Jolla Playhouse is to your right and parking is to your left. The Molly and Arthur Dance Facility is right next to the Potiker Theater and behind the Forum Theatre in the Theatre District.

The Patricia Rincon Dance Collective is a San Diego-based professional dance theatre company that aspires to educate dancers and enrich San Diego audiences by providing diversified, socially-conscious, innovative programming and choreography. Now in its 30th year of dance making, PRDC works both independently and collaboratively with other prolific artists and arts organizations since 1982. PRDC is known for its adventurous programming such as The Blurred Borders Dance Festival, The Myth Project and Emerge. PRDC recently toured Argentina and is scheduled to perform in Switzerland in 2013.
